2.The Endowment Campaign - Goal - $300,000
Reena Foundation's vision is to create a $6 million endowment fund that will fully fund the current cost of Reena's Respite and Enrichment Programs.
In this fiscal year, the Reena Foundation has established a target of $300,000 in endowment fund contributions from both new and existing endowment fund holders.
The Morris and Beverly Baker Foundation Challenge
This year Reena Foundation has been offered an incredible opportunity! Mrs. Beverly Baker, a long time, generous donor to Reena, wanted to give our endowment campaign a real boost. Mrs. Baker offered to give Reena Foundation 50 cents for every dollar we raised in this year's campaign - up to a maximum of $125,000. This means if we raise $250,000 in endowment funds, the Morris and Beverly Baker Foundation will make a gift to the endowment campaign fund of $125,000, allowing Reena Foundation to more than meet its goal of $300,000!

4. The Ungerman Sports Complex Campaign - Goal - $100,000
The Ungerman Sports Complex is the heart of the Toby & Henry Battle Developmental Centre at Reena. It is a dynamic place where you'll see sports activity, social gatherings, and general meetings. There isn't a time of day when the complex isn't busy and that's the very essence of Reena's Respite & Enrichment Programs.
In addition to the respite provided to families, teaching Reena's kids social skills and keeping them active and fit are two of the most beneficial outcomes of these programs.
People with developmental disabilities are generally more introverted and more sedate than the general population. Reena's challenge, in partnership with families, is to give them opportunities to participate in organized games that are fun and non-threatening. In this way, they develop a better sense of being, become more confident and more physically active. All of this leads to longer, richer, and more fulfilling lives.
It is important then, to ensure that the Ungerman Sports Complex continues to be able to purchase the sports and recreational supplies needed to run its programs. Every year there is a need to replace sports equipment like basketballs and nets, floor hockey equipment, gym mats, tetherballs, volleyballs, trampolines, and much more. There is also a need for repair/renovation work due to the constant wear and tear on the complex.
Furthermore, the Special Olympics Basketball team operates out of the Ungerman Sports Complex, and the team requires annual funding for tournaments and uniforms.
Help us reach our target of $100,000 so that the Ungerman Sports Complex can continue to offer fun activities for everyone!
